Pakistani nutrition programmes are front-loaded. Nitrogen and basal phosphorus get applied, and then the crop reaches the stage where potassium demand peaks — grain fill in wheat, boll development in cotton, tuber bulking in potato, fruit set in mango and citrus — and the programme has nothing left in it. Potassium is the most heavily mined nutrient in the country's soils and phosphorus is the most heavily fixed, so the reproductive window is where both shortfalls arrive at once.
PK-82 is built for that window specifically. It is not a general-purpose blend that happens to contain P and K; it is deliberately nitrogen-free so that it can be applied at a stage where more nitrogen would push vegetative growth at exactly the wrong moment.
