Batch testing and certificates

Know what is in the bag.

Every batch VAN makes is tested here before it ships, and the certificate for the batch you bought is yours for the asking — send us the batch number off the bag. If you have fertilizer from anywhere else, send us 500 g and we will measure it.

Two ways to use this laboratory

📄
You bought VAN product

Send us the batch number printed on the bag and we will send you the certificate of analysis for that batch — the measured values from the tests we ran on it before it left the plant. There is no charge and you do not need to send anything back.

You bought anything else

Any fertilizer, any brand, any manufacturer. Send us 500 g and we will measure what is in it, against the published price list. The result is the same accredited certificate we issue to importers and laboratories.

Why VAN built a laboratory

A laboratory is a machine for getting the same answer twice. That is the whole of it. Written methods, calibrated instruments, reference standards run alongside every batch, two analysts on every sample, a manager who reviews the work and signs his name to it.

All that machinery exists for one reason: so the number does not depend on who ran the test, or which day they ran it, or what anybody hoped it would say. A result that changes with the circumstances is not a measurement — it is an opinion with a decimal point.

VAN needed that for its own production. Once it existed, there was no good reason to keep it closed. A grower buying fertilizer is asked to take a great deal on trust; this is one of the few things in the chain that can actually be checked.

8 of the 21 tests VAN Lab performs are covered by PNAC ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation, LAB 336. The other 13 are tests the laboratory runs which sit outside that granted scope. They are listed separately throughout this site so you always know which is which.

What the report gives you

The measured value

For every parameter you asked for, as found in the sample you sent.

The method used to measure it

Named on the report. A number without its method is not a result — particularly for humic acid, where the extraction protocol defines what gets counted.

A signature

Reviewed by the Assistant QC Manager and signed by the QC Manager, against a sample code.

VAN's agronomists publish crop programmes — stage, product, rate and method, openly and free. The laboratory measures. Keeping the two functions apart is what makes the measurement worth having, and it is why the report carries numbers rather than suggestions.

What it costs, and how long it takes

Published in full. Prices effective 15 August 2026, in PKR.

PKR 500 – 4,000

Per test, depending on the parameter. Every price for every test is on the price list — nothing is “on request”.

3 working days

For most tests, counted from confirmed booking. Humic acid is 4 days, because the determination itself runs 36 hours.

500 g

The sample we need, by weight, whether solid or liquid. Enough for two analyses and a retained portion.

Send us a sample

Book online or on WhatsApp. You get a reference number, and you can check where your sample is at any time without an account or a login.
