Every production lot is released against a certificate of analysis from VAN's own laboratory. The format is consistent across the catalogue: physical status, moisture, particle size and pH, followed by the chemical assays, each carrying its specification, its result and the method used to obtain it. That last column is the one that matters in an audit, and it is why COA data — not marketing copy — is the source for every physical property published on this site.

VAN's first agricultural experimental station was established in 2009 and the company runs its own research farm, staffed by agricultural scientists, for product trials. A formulation that performs in a beaker and fails on a calcareous field has failed, and the farm is where that gets found out before a client's season depends on it.
