Crop nutrition plan

Onion

The full programme as VAN supplies it — every product, dose, application method and pack size. This one is published here directly rather than being read out of a plan PDF, so the open questions on it are listed at the bottom of the page rather than buried. Doses are stated per acre.

Products in this programme

Products without a link are not made by VAN — they are commodity inputs the plan assumes you already use.

What this page does not claim

These are per-acre programmes, not a prescription for your field. A nutrition plan is built on a typical crop and a typical soil. It is not a substitute for a soil test, and the rates are not adjusted here for what your own soil already holds.

No yield figure appears on this page. We publish what to apply, at which stage, by which method. We do not attach a yield percentage to it, because that would need a named trial we can point you at.

This programme is indicative. It is built on best practice and on the nutrient requirement of the crop — not on your field. VAN prepares farm-specific plans against a grower's own soil analysis, yield target and the other variables that decide a rate. Ask for one on WhatsApp or at Kisan@van.com.pk.

Every figure on this page is taken from the published plan, not calculated. Products, doses, methods and pack sizes are read directly out of the published plan PDF.
Notes on this plan
  • The written plan applies Vital Urea "at sowing with Phosphatic fertilizer". It is placed at Early Growth here on VAN's instruction, which is why Land Preparation carries no nitrogen. This is VAN's placement, not a defect in the plan.
  • Zinc Coated Urea and CAN are not VAN products. They are shown because they are part of the programme, exactly as commodity urea is shown on the rice, wheat and turmeric plans.
  • V-Mag Essential is applied with Vital Potash, and the source's "2.5 kg + 2.5 kg" is a genuine split: 2.5 kg at Grand Growth and 2.5 kg at Maturity. Confirmed 21 Aug 2026 and shown that way above.
  • The source plan prints V-Compost as a 40 kg bag. It is a 20 kg bag — that is what the product page, the specification sheet and every other crop programme give, so the table above is corrected to 20 kg and the plan carries the error.
  • V-Compost is supplied in a 20 kg pack, as published on its own product page. No analysis is given here for Zinc Coated Urea or CAN because they are not VAN products and VAN does not publish another manufacturer's figures.
